It was the desire of James H. Alexander and Barry Theriot to open a locally owned and operated funeral home that would offer competitive pricing, provide funeral services to all area cemeteries, and accept transfers of pre-planned arrangements made with other funeral providers.
On July 1, 2008, this goal was accomplished when they opened Forest Lawn Funeral Home which is conveniently located next to Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens at the corner of Celeste and Radcliff Roads in Saraland. Forest Lawn Funeral Home is a full service funeral home offering traditional funeral and cremation arrangements and merchandise while providing personalized and professional service.
Elegant chapel with space for 230 people
Serving Saraland and the surrounding communities, Forest Lawn Funeral Home consists of a chapel with seating to accommodate up to 230 people, visitation parlor, coffee lounge, and two conference rooms. The tastefully appointed décor provides a feel of casual elegance throughout the facility which was designed to offer families a setting where they can spend time with their loved ones in a relaxed and comfortable environment.

Meet our beautiful 60 acres of gardens
Serving Saraland and the surrounding communities since 1963, Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, consists of 60 acres with approximately 25 acres developed to date. In May 2005, James H. Alexander and Barry Theriot purchased Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, next to Forest Lawn Funeral Home at the corner of Celeste and Radcliff Roads in Saraland.
The only locally owned and operated perpetual care cemetery in north Mobile County, Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens offers burial options that include ground burials, cremation niches, and mausoleum entombment. The grounds at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens consist of the following Gardens:

- Garden of Mark
- Garden of Matthew
- Garden of Acacia
- Garden of Grace
- Garden of Sarah
The most recent addition, the Garden of Sarah, allows for upright granite monuments.
