Remembering Your Veteran

Remembering your veteran is one of the most endearing feelings to you and your loved ones. That is why we are proud to honor all of those who have served our country and provide a wide selection of funeral arrangements. From traditional military elements to free veteran’s funeral space, we also offer many benefits, unlike any other funeral home. We want to ensure that you receive helpful information during your loss by assisting you in communicating with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs- a program for military funeral benefits. Read about how you can remember your veteran with the help of our services.

With a US Flag and the Playing of Taps
The U.S. flag has significant meaning when it comes to the symbol of life and remembrance of veterans. That is why on our behalf, we pay a respectful tribute and act of service by draping the U.S. flag over the casket and then folding it accordingly and giving it to you, the relative. The playing of the taps is also performed, which includes 24 notes. Do not forget to fill out the honorable military funeral application for consideration and approval to receive full standard benefits.

With a Headstone or Markers
Your veteran’s name should be recognized and distinguished amongst other military dependents that are buried in national, state veteran or military cemeteries. The VA provides headstones or markers for the unmarked grave that is government-furnished. Flat markers include materials such as granite, marble and bronze for distinctive style options depending on the private cemetery. Rather you choose a big or small memorial request; your veteran will be sure to cherish the time you took you to remember and honor them for as long as possible.

Presidential Memorial Certificate
You can request to apply for a presidential memorial certificate through the VA’s DOD program. The document is engraved with the veteran’s deceased name and with the President’s signature. This recognition is a great way to remember your veteran, along with other family members who may also want a free copy to keep for themselves as well. We are here to help you obtain this certificate as it is your right, along with the proper documentation needed.
